Looking for a fun, active and rewarding way for your child to enjoy the beach? Wamberal Nippers helps children build confidence in the surf, learn valuable water safety skills, make new friends and have plenty of fun along the way.

• Children aged 5–13 years
• Children must turn 5 by 30 September 2026 to join this season.
• Each family must include at least one parent or guardian as a Wamberal SLSC member.

Sunday morning 9am during the surf season, from October to March.

Nippers develop their skills through age appropriate activities including:

• Surf and beach safety
• Wading, body surfing
• Board paddling
• Beach sprints and flags
• Team games and challenges

• Build confidence in the surf
• Learn essential lifesaving skills
• Make new friends
• Stay active and have fun
• Represent Wamberal SLSC at carnivals (optional)
• Progress towards a Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) from age 13

Whether your child is new to the beach or already loves the surf, Wamberal Nippers provides a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where they can develop skills for life while making lasting memories.
